This 4-hour course is designed to assist companies and supervisors of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) drivers in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently execute their responsibilities related to reasonable suspicion testing. Pursuant to 49 CFR 382.603, this training is required for all FMCSA-compliant companies that have 2 or more vehicles in their company fleet. This course will cover the effects of drugs and alcohol (including use and misuse recognition for both alcohol and drugs), and satisfies the FMCSA training requirements outlined in Section 382.307. Additionally, the course addresses requirements for establishing and maintaining your company’s Drug Free Workplace status in the State of Georgia, and covers topics relevant to companies with small vehicle fleets that may not fall under FMCSA regulations.

Upon completing this course, attendees will be able to:
• Discuss the effects of drugs and alcohol, short-term and long-term use, and the effects on the human body
• Recognize employees who may be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol
• Meet requirements of the Drug Free Workplace, FMCSA Clearinghouse, and more
